Should I choose hemp extract chews or hemp oils with pure hemp extract?
It all depends on what you and your pet like best. Both our range of chews and oils have been shown to be equally effective. And they are both made from premium-grade hemp extract from organically-grown hemp along with other all-natural functional ingredients.
The wide range of Cooper&Cosmo chews are delicious, super-easy to give, and great for on the go. But for those fussy little guys who refuse to try new things, you might want to try our organic peanut butter with broad-spectrum hemp extract or our hemp oils with pure hemp extract instead. Cooper&Cosmo oils are easy to add to your pet’s regular food, or even directly in the mouth with the dropper supplied. Choose between peanut butter flavor – irresistible for dogs – and neutral – preferred by cats and other fussy furballs.
How do I know how much to give?
No two pets are alike. Each has different needs and responds in different ways to chews and oils with pure hemp extract. It’s best to start with the recommended dose which you can find on most packaging. For cats and small dogs (under 10 lbs), you can start with 1 chew or 1 full dropper of oil per day. And for larger animals between 10 and 25 lbs, you can double the dose: 2 chews or 2 full droppers per day.
By the same token, if your pet is totally new to hemp products, you may want to start with just half a chew at first. If there is no noticeable difference within the hour, you can give them the rest. In any case, the important thing is to keep a close eye on your pet and see how they respond to the supplement. Dosing hemp extract for dogs or cats is not an exact science. You will find that you may need to increase or decrease the dose a little until you find their sweet spot.
How long before it takes effect?
Every animal is different. But you can be sure of one thing: pure hemp extract will start working its magic almost immediately! In fact, if you give them Cooper&Cosmo chews or oils directly in the mouth, you should see a noticeable difference in their emotional balance within 20 to 60 minutes or a little longer if given in their food.
Naturally, in the case of more chronic issues such as interacting naturally with your bestie’s body, it will take a little longer to take effect. And again, like all things, it depends on a number of factors. But in general, once you’ve found the ideal dose for your pet, you should observe a clear improvement within 2 to 4 weeks of regular, daily use.

Will my cat or dog trip out on hemp products?
